Have you ever asked yourself what it is those amazingly successful 8-figure retail and eCommerce brands have that you don't?

On this weeks episode of Bringing Business To Retail I'm throwing a light on the strategies and tactics those stores leveraged to take themselves from 7-figures to 8-figures and beyond. And here's a hint, you don't have to do ANY of them.

After the show, join the conversation or simply stay in touch at Facebook and Instagram. Or join me for my EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes video series where you can discover more about how to scale and grow your highly successful retail or eCommerce brand even further.

If you've been around a while you'll know I talk a lot about providing your customers with relevant, targeted email marketing to help improve their customer experience. Part of producing that content involves segmenting or breaking your contact list up so you can send the right information to the right people at the right time.

Many retailers struggle to know exactly what segments to break their lists into and what information to collect from their customers. So in this episode I'm sharing how my team and I recently segmented our own email list; our motivation for doing it, what segments we decided on and why the process didn't go perfectly.

After the show, I'd love you to join the conversation or simply stay in touch at Facebook and Instagram

Over the past few months online delivery has surged, with an estimated 300% growth. In many sectors this has lead to massive supply issues. Whilst at the same time, many other retail segments that were locked down with a great deal of inventory stuck in stores are now dealing with a major oversupply.

As we speak billions of dollars of stock are being liquidated or moved to short-term warehouse space to free up room for new shipments or new season stock. Far from being a problem for just the big retailers, over supply is a very real threat to retailers of every size.

In this episode I'm sharing the pros and cons on the most popular strategies for moving stock in your retail or eCommerce store so you can get clear on the options you have for your inventory and the inventory flowing into the market place from other retailers.

Have you reached a point in your business where you need more than one (or two or three) people to grow. Maybe you need someone to handle your social media, manage your inventory or put your marketing plan into motion. Perhaps you simply need someone to sort through the thousands of emails in your inbox.

In todays episode I'm chatting with Nathan Hirsch former partner of recently acquired freelance recruitment platform Free-Up and now director of Outsource School.

Together we explore the benefits of hiring freelances and VAs, how to bring remote staff into your business, where to find them and how to interview them. We dive into the management process and how to make a remote team feel connected to your vision and your business.

If you've been exploring ways to grow your team and want to avoid the common pitfalls. Or have a remote staff but are sick of flaky hires or losers who stop showing up after a couple of weeks; this episode is for you.

Now, more than ever, independent business owners need to step up (or step into) the role of CEO in their business. It's time to take control. But taking on a leadership role in your own business is challenging even at the best of times.

Last month I heard Julie Mathers, CEO of the worlds largest Vegan eCommerce store Flora and Fauna, speak at Inside Retail Live. I came away from our time together motivated and empowered by her passion for purpose driven business and the leadership role she has carved out for herself.

At short notice, Julie kindly agreed to chat to me this week about Unleashing Your Inner Leader. We cover a lot of ground. Including;

- how long it took her to become the CEO of her business
- the differences she found between independent & corporate retail
- how they've built the best team for their business
- the importance of defining your purpose
- why experience & failure make you a great leader

In 2013 Yasmin and her husband Leigh started Worlds Biggest Garage Sale.
